Spring Break- day four

We spent the next day in Las Vegas at our timeshare. The kids love to go there. There are many pools and a lazy river. The weather was great! We just hung out and relaxed. We really needed after the day before :) We did venture out on a Vegas tradition we have. Each time we go there we eat at Joe's Crab Shack. It didn't' seem to be as good as usual, but the kids did enjoy there desert a paint your own crab desert. It was a crab shaped rice crispy treat on a paint pallet. It had a paint brush and chocolate syrup to paint with. Then mini m&m's and sprinkles to top it all off.

Spring Break- day two and three

We took off early Saturday morning and headed for Evanston Wyoming, our old stomping grounds. We were off to visit our friends the Weidemans. It was so nice to see them, while we were there we got to see many of our old friends too. Friday night we enjoyed a few more traditions we have with them. First we always have Dominoes pizza for dinner (Bill works there) and we had our traditional game night with our big candy bowl. We always have peanut butter M&M's, Bit-O- Honey, Mike and Ikes, Recess Peanut Butter cups and Rolos, yum, yum!! The next morning we headed off to our old ward, it was wonderful to see so many warm friendly faces. We were constantly being asked if we were moving back. I don't think that will ever happen. After church, a great lunch then off again. We had a long drive to Las Vegas. Much, much longer than expected! The weather was awful. It snowed and snowed and snowed all the way to St George. At one point we were going over a pass. The road was pure ice, cars were sliding off everywhere. There was a big semi truck only a few feet in front of us that started sliding backwards right toward us. Luckily, Jim was able to get around him to the other lane and off we went, a little shaken. We were so relieved to make it safely and finally get out of the car.

Spring Break- day one

We had a very exciting Spring break. We were able to visit many friends and family members. We started early on Friday and traveled to Salt Lake City where we visited with Jim's grandma Talley and his sister Miaken. The kids had a fun slumber party with Miaken. It has become a spring break tradition that they really look forward to. She introduced them to a fun new experience. It was called "Chase suprise" (A big pan of tollhouse cookie dough, cooked and covered in ice cream, then everyone grabs a spoon and digs in). They also had a great time hot tubbing in her roof top hot tub.

Okay already!

I have been thinking about blogging for awhile. Too bad it isn't that easy to get it done. I heard someone say it is the new form of journaling. I guess if I look at it that way, I can justify putting in the time and effort. I am hoping to get lots of lessons from my sister in law, her blog is great!!
